I hose mine down in the shower stall too. And I agree with garagegirl on the hardwood floors. I turned-down an otherwise perfect carriage house because it had carpeted floors.

Storage-wise, mine hang in the living room on a Delta Vincent two-bike rack. I put an Ascent trainer mat underneath it to catch drips from wet rides or washing.

Working on them, I have a Topeak Flash Stand. I set it up on the coffee table and can sit comfortably on the couch while I tinker. When I'm done, it fits in a kitchen drawer next to the silverware.
