1. I usually have some kind of under armour shirt type clothing tuck into the shorts. If I'm not wearing under armour, I'm usually wearing a TIGHT FITTING jersey that hugs to my body well and wouldn't allow the wind to blow up my shirt easily. I have never felt such a draft before nor worry about my back/butt crack showing.
2. The elastic pressure has yet to bother me and i've ridden centuries before
3. Wear black shorts and its no big deal.
I am planning to get a bib to see if it is a big change like everyone on BF says it is. Not everything on the BF is correct. I see tons of ppl vouching for the Brooks B17 saddle and to me that's a waste of money and an ugly saddle to go on your fancy road bike.
+1
1.) I wear a undershirt tucked in to my shorts when needed.
2.) I fold the elastic band down several inches so it doesn't bother me at all, kind of like low rise shorts or something.
3.) I have to wear black shorts, otherwise women are distracted and fall of their bikes. It's real embarrassing on group rides.
Although I want to try them one day as well. Maybe this Christmas or something.
