My Denali does not have a clicking sound coming from the cranks. But it sounds like he needs to check his bairings in his bottom bracket. Or see if one of the Cranks is loose or has play in it.

My Denali is still all stock. I have ordered Shimano RSX shifters and RSX rear deraileur. They should be here in a week or so. I'm also looking at Shimano RSX crankset with 50x42x30 chainrings. To give me a better top speed.
well, then I have to hand it to you... I usually ride my dawes, which has a chro-moly frame, with 700x25c tires. I can get that going at a top speed of 23-24 mph and end up usually at an average of 15 mph overall. I tried taking the denali out yesterday because I would like to use it as a commuter and man did I feel the difference. For you to crank it up with an avg speed of 25 you must have some real power...
