Edited to add - I was particularly amused that the long route parallels a couple of really busy roads. I passed about 50 cars all backed up on Memorial Drive, and even paced someone on the Deerfoot* for a couple of minutes! (boy was he mad)

*No cycling allowed on Deerfot Trail proper - you have to be semi-suicidal even to drive a car on that thing, IMO - but the Bow River pathway parallels it for a short distance.
Hah! I bet I know which route too! Past the Zoo and down past the weir right? I used to take that route when I lived in the South and if I saw any drivers in the line-up looking at me I made sure to give a BEEEEEEG Smile!

My commute is too short now and along McKnight ( Aye Carumba! ) Tonight though I'm riding Downtown to put up a notice on the MEC notice board so that should rack it up to 25km for the day. With the better weather I will try to get out earlier and take the long route around Fox Hollow Golf Course.
