Replace my Cane Creek Brakes
So the Calfee is pretty much completed, final pics later, got the new stem and replaced the fork with one that has the proper steerer tube length (OBTW see eBay soon for an ALPHA-Q for with 20cm of steerer tube), and had the whole thing dialed in at the Trek Superstore for fit(2nd OBTW, they spent over an hour fitting me as part of the process for the new fork, dialed in the seat height, position, etc etc, even pulled out the lasers and they only charged me $30 for the fork installation. I always thought they were a bit of a pain, no longer.)
So back to the point of the post, the only component left on the bike that bugs me is the Cane Creek brakes that came from the Moto IS. I have been looking at Dura Ace, SRAM, Zero Gravity, and Campy brakes, and barely resisting pulling the trigger. A couple of questions:
1. Can I use Campy brakes with Dura Ace?
2. How is the stopping performance of the ZG brakes,, the weight is not enough of a selling point for me.
3. Seems to me that the SRAM gives you the best bang for your buck, concur?
