I got an 07 stock silver Langster and had the shop build out the hubs with Open Pro rims on Roubaix Elite tires. Threw on a Team Toupe and have been in love ever since.

As far as the toe overlap, it is definitely there. I got used to it pretty quickly though. Now sitting at lights I find myself tapping the wheel against my forward foot sometimes just to keep track of the distance and feel of it. Kind of like a goalie reaching back and tapping his stick against the pipes in hockey.

There are definitely quieter drive trains around, but the stock set up on the Langster isn't too bad if you keep you chain lined and lubbed. Mine has proven to be a fast and fun commuter no doubt.
