Apparently they agreed with you, because the .com has since gone away. My '06 frame has no .com on it, and I haven't seen an '07 anywhere with .com...
But I guess it hearkens back to the days when it was super-high-tech and sophisticated for a bike company to have a website. That's so 2001.
