Rockville, MD (outside DC) was great. I found it surprisingly moving and spent most of the ride remembering a friend and trying to imagine what he'd be like today if given the chance to grow up (was 19 when killed).
We had about 15 riders, most wearing red for personal car hits, some wearing black for rides in memory of friends lost to cars. Weather was nice, cool and relatively dry. We had a two police car and one police motorcycle escort. The police were fabulous and blocked all intersections, lights & traffic. I saw one group of ppl clap for us as we went by (doubt they knew what we were doing) and a few random honks of support.
Hats off to our organzier, the police and the riders. It was a special event.
