Cracked Carbon Seat Post
just noticed my seatpost is cracked right at the seat binder. I ride a 2003 specialized allez comp, so it's an aluminum frame, it seems that the seat tube was bent by the binder, and it's clear that it must have been this way for quite some time as i haven't raised/lowered my seat or removed the seatpost in over a year. Obviously i order a new seat post, but i'm wondering if i can ride this post for a week till it gets here. seems like i've ridden it for quite some time like this without noticing, but i don't have any experience with cracked carbon fiber parts, does it happen quickly and increase fast, or is it possible that it cracked slowly over time?
Also, since the aluminum is bent, should i be worried about the frame being compromised at all?
