What could be so bad is seat post snaps in two , you get rectalized by remaining portion of seat post.

Seriously, at a minimum, falling on the remains of a jagged seatpost, cutting the inside of your leg, and potentially comprimising bike handling in traffic doesn't sound like much fun.
