Regarding taking it easy and listening to my body, don't worry! My body is screaming at me - chest is sore as heck from the body slam. Went to the doctor already and they told me no broken bones and the like so that much is fine.
From my experience from a motorcycle accident I had last year (also not my fault), some insurance companies will hold it against you and others will not. Depends on the individual company. My *guess* is that the bike wreck is the same way.
Contrary to popular misperception, insurance companies cannot penalize you for not at fault accidents. File an accident report. People who cause accidents are often nice and apologetic at the scene but then later after they consider the repercussions... There's no way I would let this guy get away with this. You mention a police report. Did they respond to the scene? If not I would file a police report. Contact his insurance company. I'm not sure I would bother with his employer at this point as they will most likely just blow you off. If you have medical payments coverage on your auto policy it should cover your medical expenses. When you are done treating they will seek recovery from his Ins carrier or him directly.

I disagree. Just walk it off, always worked in T-Ball.
Huh? You're kidding right?
