Seriously though, they'll get muddy and wet. They'll be dirty, but I don't care. It's a mountain bike. On the rare occassion when I wash my bike, they'll get clean again.
The instructions say to wash with cold water and ivory snow. Rinse, then neutralize with vinegar, rinse again. Sounds complicated, I'll probably never do it. A hose will have to do.
