Anything with kevlar. I have some Michelin Erilium (since changed names) on Supersport. I use the Performance house brand 700x35 on the CX for daily commuting.
The key, I think, is to check the tires regularly for sharp objects. I have a dozen cuts on every tire on both bikes, but if you dig the chunk out, it won't flat. All the streets in San Diego are covered with glass and crap. They only seem to run a sweeper down most of them once a year.
