Trek 728 (aka 720 w/sidepulls) project completed!

Well, here it is. As many of you may know, I was dead set on using some form of fenders on this machine, so I decided to experiment with the Bluemels Club Specials from my recent Schwinn Voyageur II find. The result convinced me to mount a pair of NOS, Trek-badged "ISO Tech 2" tires to finish it off. I dare say it came out quite good too. Has a bit of a French with Brit look to it, in my opinion. Just right for lugging around god knows what.

Component breakdown:

Crankset - Sugino AT 50/42/28
Brakeset - Suntour Blaze/early '80s Dia-Compe 500
FD - Huret (model?)
RD - Shimano Deore LX
Shifters - Suntour racheting barcon (they don't work too well with the rear FW, IMHO)
Freewheel - SACHS Powerglide
Chain - TAYA
Saddle - Italia Mondico (spelling?)
Wheelset - Phil hubs on unknown rims - they look like some form of Mavic to me.

Incedentally, if anyone has XL sized toe-clips for MKS MP-707 type pedals as I have on this machine, let me know. The L size that they came with aren't sufficent for my big 'ol feet. They have a unique mounting to them - can get a closeup.

Take care,

-Kurt
