So i found a local group ride at one of the LBS's. I called them to see what they are about. The guy said that they get a wide range of people and that some weeks it can be fast, other weeks it can be slow, other weeks they will split into an A and B group. He said last week they did 30 miles and kept 15-18mph pace. So they certainly don't seem out of the realm of my ability.

The question is...Next Saturday i'm doing my first organized ride. It's only 60 miles but it will be the longest ride of this season and tied for my longest solo ride ever. I was thinking of hooking up with this group ride on Friday too.

What say yee, too much work considering my experience? Too little info? Quit being a panzy and go ride?
