I need a bike that is fast, responsive and that climbs well....
I just sold a special edition Madone 5.9SL and it was very very light on the scales at 15.7 pounds WITH Look carbon pedals and two bottle cages.... loved how it climbed and how responsive it was. However, I didn't feel comfortable racing it (for fear of something happening to it) so I ordered this one and intend on building it up.
What do I need it for? What do most cyclists do with a light, responsive bike? heh
You don't think less weight makes a difference on a long climb? I plan on doing a few road races in the future that will have some long steep climbs, as well as climbing a few mountains in the fall. Last year I did it on a Trek Pilot w/ a triple chain ring...
