So I took my road bike out for the first time this Spring after having ridden my fixed gear bike all Winter. I had forgotten just how fast these bikes can go.. Usually on my fixed gear 21 mph seems like it is a fast pace for me to sustain, but on my road bike today I was 'cruisin' at 24, 25 mph.
I was able to go so fast that my lungs started to fill up with lactic acid and made the inside of my mouth burn. Thank God for the Big Chain ring. Okay.. very sleepy now.. more later.
