I use it in hubs as well and never found it to be too heavy-bodied. The only other grease I use is in coaster brake hubs. For that I use red colored synthetic disk brake hub automotive grease. It's rated for high temperature use so the grease won't burn off and cause the coaster brake to be destroyed during long steep descents.
