The 26 and 30 tooth cogs are lined up with the 38 ring, and the 18/15 with the 48 ring. The chain line is never more than 1-2mm off. The small/small and big/big combo's aren't used.
I'll post about the v-brake set up when I get it done. I am going to try to work on it this weekend.
OK, well, so the chainline isn't quite 100% straight. In my experience, even 1 or 2 mm off can be a problem.
VERY curious about the brake thing! I have a frame without those bosses, where I really need to install V-brakes.
