The skirt part is wraparound, so it doesn't bunch up. It drapes across you thighs and keeps you well covered. You don't sit on the back of the skirt, instead it flows around you. There is an extra lycra triangle at the back of the waist for a little extra stretch. The shorts are well made - strong, stretchy, and a good durable weight with a flexible stretch chamois. The shorts alone are worth the price! When I got off the bike the skirt immediatley covers you up. I'm 5'2 and the skirt drops to my bottow of my knee cap (catholic school length!). Mine are Terry's Plus Skort, they also make them in regular sizes in two lengths. I bought the 3X which is a 22 - 24 size range and it is a very generous size. I think I may go for the 2X because I have sinched up the waist clasp to its smallest size (luckily, I can sew). I've worn them all week and they are now my favourite!
