I had my first ride on a bike since breaking my hip on the 12th Feb. this year . yesterday I rode 10ks & today 13

Mostly on the grass, doing laps of the local college playing fields , mainly for a softer fall if come off !.& it seems to make more resistance at the lower speeds I'm comfortable with at the moment.The bike I'm using is the same one that dumped me ,my wet weather bike with the toe-clips & straps, the next step will be to ride my road bike cliped into the SPD pedals
I'm still doing physio, hydro-therapy & gym work most days to try & restore the muscle they had to cut through to pin, plate & screw the ball of the femur back & I should be able to return to work some time in the middle of May, hopefully I'll be able to cycle there & back by then !
