You DO understand. I like this set up a lot. Yes, I *really* don't like derailers. I've never been happy with any derailer set up I've owned. None of them were high end or anything. There's no chain suck, bounce or chain noise (whirring through the derailer) with this set up. It is as close as you can get to single speed. It *is* single speed really. I just happen to carry extra cogs and an extra chain ring at all times.
