Well done on Staying the course- You would be surprised at how many nearly new- 10 year old bikes are sitting in the shed. Now all you have to do is get out and find some HILLS- rather than the 1/2 mile pimples you have- Plenty of hills in the Rockies- or come to Europe to find a few.
I only got a road bike last year after 16 years on MTB's- Feel confident enough to tackle a couple of hills on holiday so Attachment will show a good one to try
