The LBS owner rides the exact same Six13 in a different size, and he said he loves his. (I saw his bike) He said he may be able to come down from the $2500 price on the Six13, since it is an '05. The R5000 is an '06 and he said he wants to hold at the $2500 price point for a while longer on that bike.
The people I ride with, most of them are running 105ish equipment, but it doesn't seem to slow them down any. The DA gear shifts a bit more smooth, but not a world of difference.

I got an 05 Six 13 with the 3 carbon tubes, which I heard is more supple than the 06 with only the 2 carbon tubes. Keep in mind though, not all carbon bike are created equal. I looked at a Aquila carbon, it is stiffer than the R5000. I also rode my friend's Giant TCR1, and it flexes a bit more at the bad places. So far I find the Six13 offers the best stiffness and smoothness in all the bikes I've ridden.

Mine is a 54cm and I just went out on a 65km ride today with it. It's so much more comfortable than my Cervelo One it's not even funny.

Eitherway, I'm sure you'll get a great deal and a great bike.
