The one thing to keep in mind is that my weight loss has been over a period of 7 years. Nothing quick about that. I just took up cycling about a year ago to help with the diabetes and get in better shape. Not to mention get the last 50 or so pounds off. I'm not doing any fad, just a simple lifestyle that I can maintain for the rest of my life.
