Great job, N7CZinMT and spanky4x4. I need to get out biking more.
thanks ,but I lost most of it before I started riding again. Me and my wife joined weight watchers and I intentionaly took a job that was a lot more physical then I had before. we started by walking, working hard and really watching what you eat.when you are 32,over 400 lbs, blood pressure so high you could have a stoke any time, all it really took was the dr asking me if I was ready to start making funeral plans. before I went to collage I was fairly fit and around 250. I gained the typical freshmen 15(or 40 in my case) and then had a job where I told the guys what to do and I watched the windsheild. hell the last 2 years at my old job i dont think I even broke a sweat. before I gained alot of weight i used to ride all the time. thats how I stayed around 250. I had an injury to my wrist that made it painful to ride,so I didnt.I started driving more ...and more and more, until I hadnt ridden a bike in almost 5 years. after last year I decided that riding again would help with my efforts and since I had alredy lost alot of weight,it was easier to do. I had a small setback this spring after I started, but I didnt let it slow me down this time.I sincerly believe that cycling can help you lose weight, but it takes a bigger commitment then just riding everyday. you have to change your lifestyle completly to make it work. or at least thats what I had to do.
