Why does my 57cm 1999 Specialized Allez Comp (non-compact) ride MUCH smoother than my locally made 58cm (also non-compact) Dedacciai 7003 frame? Both have the same Kinesis Airfoil alu fork, and almost identical components (same wheels, tyres, and seat pole).

Did Specialized use 6000 series alu on this model, and if so, could that be the difference? Could it be geometry?
