The only two quality bike shops that I know of in Berkeley are Missing Link and Mike's Bikes. I don't think that Mike's Bikes carry any Trek 1000 bikes. Karim Cycle on Telegraph is just a shady place. The guy there sells crap and know next-to-nothing on bikes.
Do you know of any other good shops in Berkeley, 8Lives? I want to visit a few of the shops in the Bay Area just because.
