Depends on the tire. I would assume that there are some nice tires mounted on those wheels. 1 piece of glass can ruin a perfectly good tubular. If you do get a puncture, tub's are a pain in the a$$ to repair....not just the tire repair itself but the whole re-gluing of the tire to rim. Good tub's are $$$$$. If you are going to ride them I would suggest #1. Only use them on long distance rides or events where you want to be competitive/ have a good result. #2. Get yerself a spare tire..stretch it on an old tub rim and pre-glue it. If you do get a puncture at least you wont be stranded.
That all makes sense. Now I just need to find an event to make the risk be worthwhile.
