i know this wasn't asked of me but i'm a dc local as well. our motivation is that we've got a small core group of guys who want to race cyclocross and we have a friendly bike shop who's willing to sponsor us. if this doesn't pan out i'll almost certainly be trying to join one of the local clubs but i know it's a little late in the season for that.
