3 years ago, I got a hair up me butt and tore apart a perfectly good Lemond Maillot Jaune road bike and built it into a frankenbike commuter of sorts. I rode it for over a year and it quickly became one of my favorite bikes of all time. But there were 2 issues I had with it. First, the frame was too small and second, I had pieced it together with stuff I just had laying around. And while it worked, it was pretty much a mish mash.
I eventually gave away the MJ, vowing to someday do a similar style build from scratch. A year ago, I started acquiring the pieces and 3 months ago, I actually finished it. I haven't ridden it much due to personal reasons but I did want to share with the forum what it looked like.
