Go with threaded. The Microflate is tiny. A 16g cartridge inflates a 700/23 to over 120 psi. BikeTiresDirect has them for about $1.50

With the microflate you can adjust the rate and volume of the CO2 entering the tire by turning the cartridge on the threads.
