i'm with mcatano on this point. and swisloc, i think people were more reacting to some of the posters who decided to use what you said as a springboard for some ridiculous statements.

i've gotten some useful service from Trackstar, and very much appreciate the fact that they are a mainstay of the cycling scene that i'm in here in new york city. i think biking in nyc would be very, very different if it weren't for that shop.

Also, I think Ceya's right. I also think there's shared responsibility between a customer and a shop.

I check my bike every day to make sure the wheels are in tightly, the brake works, the cranks aren't about to fall off. The basics, that will keep me safe and keep my parts working.
