There are few, if any, high-priced CO2 pellet guns. Most of the high end guns are pre-charged pneumatics. CO2-powered guns are the cheap ones you see in Wal-Mart. Some old Olympic pistols may still have a CO2 option though.

Pre-charged pneumatic rifles can run into the thousands of dollars. I'm cheap so instead of getting a 4500 psi carbon fiber tank or a compressor, I used a hand pump. They look like regular floor pumps but are about 2/3rds the size and $200-300. They are 3-stage and can exceed 200 bar. They can take a bit of effort to pump. When I was shooting (and therefore pumping) a lot, I got so strong at pumping that when it came to pumping up a bike tire, I nearly tore the handle off the pump.
