I just bought some Shimano SPD sandals. They're the new model with 3 straps. The fit on these is interestng. I got the 41-42 size because the arch lined up with the arch of my foot, I wear a size 8 which the chart on the box indicated was 41.5, and because the next smaller size was a little too narrow at the toes. So, I'm pretty sure I got the right size.

There is quite a bit of sandal extending in front of my toes. More so than normal non-biking sandals. I'm guessing this is a safety feature (or at least an attempt at one). I just think they look a little funny with almost an inch of realestate in front of my toes.

These sandals are my first clipless shoes ever. I would have been interrested in very breathable shoes too, but nothing in the store looked quite as cool as the sandals.
I was thinking about getting those, its been raining a lot, and sandals would be ideal for wet riding I think. I hate having a shoe full of water.

How is the sizing? I wear size 11 shoes in USA size, I saw that the converted size is 45? Do the Shimano sandals run larger or smaller then what the size charts recommend? I am a little nervous about spending too much on a shoe or sandal that I can't try on, and I don't remember seeing bike sandals in any of the LBS around here.
