Taking off from a fishing platform near a marina, swimming along a large set of cliffs (on a lake, Saguaro lake, Az to be exact) then making a left turn into an official swimming cove (after a 1500m-2000m swim depending on your choice of distances) you run up the beach to T1. Next comes a hilly 27-56 mile bike course followed by a 6-12 mile trail run through the hills. I have swam in the Swimming cove before and have rowboated around the cliffs. The bike course I know very well. The running trails I don't know but they are 20 minutes from my house and there is lots of time and the website gives a good satellite map.

I know I won't be breaking any records on this one but I think with improving my swimming technique and running over the next 3.5 months it should be doable (I hope!).
