I'm not sure that what Cyclotoine says is actually true. Isn't 10 speed train still 3/32? I think it's that it's narrower outside, not inside, and made so by narrowing the bushings and plates? I absolutely don't know this for sure, but look into it. My feeling is that it's the chain and cassette (and any indexing) that need to be 10 speed, but everything else doesn't care.
