If I am being vehicular and constantly receive negative feedback, I am going to seek alternatives... plain and simple. Ignoring the negative does not make it go away. (and ignoring the negative is the only response that has been offered. )
Hey, Gene, this is good stuff. That is, I think you're turning up a little fresh soil with that "negative feedback" stuff. It's a good point.
I generally don't care what other people think, especially about me (I do care what people think about issues that ultimately affect me), so I think I'm less susceptible to "negative feedback" than the average Joe.
Hmm. Maybe "learning to ignore negative feedback", or at least not take it personally or let it affect you very much, should be part of cyclist training.
Having said that, VC is the best way I know of to reduce the amount of "negative feedback" you get, short of quitting cycling altogether.
