I've read a lot on this forum about what cyclists like about riding in bike lanes. That's the conclusion I've come to. If you have a different theory, or just think differently yourself, feel free to tell me about it. I've never read anything that you've posted that has lead me to believe that you think any differently than I've concluded though.
