it's VC anti-facilities wackos like you, JJ, who think bike lanes are magical. so afraid of that stripe. that stripe has so much power that is is able to hypnotize normally intelligent cyclists with its mere presence. muahahahaha... sigh...once again, the stripe does not create a protective force field. it's a lane on the roadway. use it or not, but please don't pontificate on the thinking of cyclists that use them.
