Sugino 600 series vs.?
Hello everyone,
Just curious, but I'm about to build up an LHT, and I wonder why Sugino so dominates parts selection for touring bikes. I was thinking about a Shimano Deore LX crank, but I wonder if the tapered square bottom bracket needed for the Suginos is a plus because of its popularity and simplicity. Any thoughts?

Cane Creek shortie cantis
LX shifting off of Shim. bar-ends
spd/platform pedals
King headset
Wheels? (pretty set on XT hubs, 36, three cross) probably beefy Mavic and 2 mm spokes
Champion Flyer saddle
Stem, seatpost?
