Are you into mountain bikes at all? There must be some great trails in and around Vancouver.
I was doing some DH a while back but the cost and time investment was prohibitive. getting to the trails turned out to be too much hassle and I was riding maybe twice a month. If you are pushing yourself you are going to bail and an injured wrist or sprained ankle is enough to keep you off the bike for a couple weeks... I said no more, and sold the bike. I would like to get a cross country rig eventually but that will have to wait till I move somewhere where there are some good trails accessible.
