I started extra exercise in February, and lost no weight until 2 weeks ago. I only weigh 155lbs, but I wanted to lose 7 lbs. It was only when I started pushing myself at the gym, just that extra bit, that the weight started to come off, and 5 lbs in 2 weeks is the total. Up till then, I was gaining some weeks.
Pushing that extra bit? I now start sweating after 20 minutes(10 minutes of which is warmup) and by 30 minutes I am soaked. I keep cardio- vascular gym work in this sweat range for 60 minutes, by which time I am shattered. Then it is down to the weights room to gently exercise the parts of the body that can still take it.
Then comes the problem. I'm starving so is it going to be a Curry or a Kebab to put back the carbs.
Sounds a lot like me (except I started about 50 lbs higher). It can be really hard to lose the weight, particularly as you also put on years.
Blue Devil, Remember, it took a while to put the weight on so you should plan on it taking a while to take it off. Realistic - while you might do it in 2-3 months, it could take 4-6 months to take it off properly (particularly if you are getting past 35 or 40).
