I think this is the fourth thread in the last few days I've posted this in. I've done it with good success. Start by properly stripping/prepping the frame. Use good quality primer, preferably a self-etching primer if you're painting aluminum. With both primer and paint, multiple light coats are a million times better than fewer, heavier coats. Do 2-3 layers of primer, sand if necessary, and then do your paint, following the manufacturer's guidelines for recoat and drying times. If it says to let it cure for a week, LET IT CURE FOR A WEEK. Seriously. Use a tack cloth before starting your paint, paint in a well ventilated area, and use high quality paint. Some people here love Rustoleum and have gotten good results with it. I prefer Dupli-Color paints, which you can usually find at Wal Mart, auto supply stores, and good hardware stores. I specifically recommend the Dupli-Color engine enamels. They take a while to cure, but they're durable as hell when they do.
