For those not from Texas, it's been raining proverbial cats and dogs around here. I've got one water crossing that is typically maybe a quarter inch of water flowing over it after a rain. During a ride a week ago, I went through three different stretches of road covered by flowing water. I walked my bike through the typically shallow crossing since it was a good 6 inches deep and moving quick. The results of this presented a couple days ago during a flat when I discovered A) water in my front wheel and B) water in the Turbo Morph. If the animals start paring up, I'm looking for higher ground.
+1 There is a low water crossing I usually take to get to work (part of the trinity trail). So much water is still being released from a few local reservoirs that this crossing has been uncrossable for a few weeks. I have found a detour to avoid water in the bike.
