Long story short: they gave me a number anyway and told me to mail the broken BB in. They wouldn't make any promises, but perhaps I could get a discount an a new BB. They sent me a new one in about a week. Sweet. Nice to know they were willing to stand by their stuff, even if I wasn't able to dot all my I's and cross all my T's.

Hell of customer service. They could make antigravity quantum components out of clouds and magic, but this story right here is what would sell their products.
