Of course my cheap patch kit was having a little trouble patching my tube and we didnt know if it was gonna work or not so they asked my if I parked at the Boulware- Springs entrance (which is were I picked up the trail at) which was about 12 miles away. And I told them no, I was parked at my house. To which they both looked confused then the guy said "What do you mean you parked at home?". Of course is took a little explaining on the part that I actually rode my bike to somewere to ride my bike. Then at that point the woman said "oooooooh, thats neat that your rode your bike here!".
I dont know what the point of this post, but I just felt the need to share.
I think they were just confused by the obtuse way you stated it. Probably if you had just said "I rode my bike to the Boulware Springs entrance from home", nobody would have been confused.
Lots of people don't feel comfortable riding in traffic. Oddly enough, these people can usually be found on the bike trail.
