I can't speak for the jerseys, but just to give you an example, I have a pair of Assos riding gloves and they are simply the best gloves I've ever worn. They don't have much padding; in fact, the palm area is very low profile, but they somehow give me as much cushioning as the Specialized BG gloves I was previously wearing that have gel padding twice as thick. Just looking at the Assos, I didn't think they'd be comfortable, but I've worn them on 70-mile rides and they are amazing. They're well engineered and so comfy that I forget I'm wearing them. I can only imagine how nice their clothing must be.
