20 years ago when I rode this stretch, I lost count of the bike tourists I met. All types...solo woman, a trio of deaf college girls, 17 year old German kid biking the entire coast alone, group of kids riding with a chaperone, etc. It was like a big party.
Now, I see a few foreign bike tourists and some semi-homeless types. I also ask, "Where are all the bike tourists?"
