there was a bit of a hiccup in gt's history after it was acquired by pacific cycles, along with schwinn, in 2002. however, the company appears to be back, and a look at its web site shows a full range of road bikes. unlike schwinn, they're being sold in reputable bike shops.

gt bikes from 2000/2001 were great values. they were exceptionally well-specced for the price, and had great geometry. in fact, the entire products line had the same geometry as the race bikes used by the lotto team, and all the frames from the zr 3.0 up were essentially the same as the frames used by lotto in 2001.
